Hello Hone Class,
I hope this email finds you all happy, safe and well. I hope you all had a great week at home with your grown ups. This is our final week of home learning, as your summer holidays commence next week. I've also had a look at the weather and it looks like it's going to be a very pleasant week indeed!
There are lots of fun activities involving reading, writing and counting. So try to do as much of the planned activities as you can. There's also some lovely alternative arts and craft activities for you to try. It would be lovely to see some of your work.
Parents and Carers:
• Encourage your child to read and write as much as possible. Use the Oxford Owl resources to support their reading and/or use any books aimed at their level of reading.
• Continue with counting from 1-20. Challenge your child to count forwards and backward, pick random numbers to check they recognise them. Practise addition and subtraction number sentences using objects like Lego or dried pasta to strengthen their understanding.
• With the summer holidays around the corner, it is vital that you do as much of the above as possible. Always do in small chunks.
Have a great week everyone!
