Safer Internet Day - 27th September 1

September 27th was Safer Internet Day.

Our assembly focussed on how the internet was for everybody to use and was a place where everyone should feel safe and welcomed.

The children were very enthusiastic and showed a good understanding of how important it is to be kind to others when communicating online.

parentINFO is a new website aimed at helping parents choose appropriate online resources for their children.

The children at Parkside use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning.

In school, we take care to ensure that the activities and places that they have access to are appropriate and safe.

At home, sometimes children can be given unsupervised access to the Internet. This, potentially, allows them to access all kinds of society (both good and bad) and bring them virtually into their homes.
