Dan Duffy is a renowned artist celebrated for his unique word art creations that intricately blend text and imagery to depict iconic landmarks, figures, and moments in history. His meticulous attention to detail and innovative technique involves crafting entire pictures using carefully selected words and phrases related to the subject matter. Dan's work has captivated art enthusiasts worldwide, earning him acclaim for his ability to transform language into visually stunning masterpieces that tell compelling stories.

Miss Batley chose Dan Duffy as her class artist this year and she believes that there is scope to create a large, collaborative piece together as well as many opportunities for individual pieces for artwork. She is very excited to see what masterpieces will be created in September!

Homework
 
Children will be given a list of Spellings every Monday which need to be learnt for the following Monday.

Reading is also very important. We encourage children to read with an adult as often as possible. Please sign the reading record when you read with your child/children.

Library
 
We have an exciting bus library with many interesting books. Children will visit once a week and will be encouraged to borrow books.
 
PE
 
Physical Education takes place twice a week. It is very important that PE kits are kept in school at all times. Please mark each item clearly - that includes plimsolls as it can quite difficult for your child to find them when they are all changing at once.
