Phonics - Read, Write inc. (RWI)

                       

 

At Parkside we follow the Read Write Inc literacy programme. Developed by Ruth Miskin and published by Oxford University Press. It is taught in over 5000 schools in the United Kingdom, making it the country’s most popular way for children to learn to read using phonics.

We teach Phonics from Nursery to Year 2 and encourage children to use this in their reading and writing. Children in KS2 will use phonics throughout their work.
